1st assignment

This is sample essay, in my view, feels somewhat personal to the author.  The author is answering the question: in what ways does the media affect how adolescents rebels against authorities?  The author expresses their own personal opinion in certain parts of the essay.  For example, the author states,
"..It seems as though society itself seems to expect this rebellious and could be partially responsible for the revolt."
The author also has definitions throughout the essay which I would assume that he or she used a dictionary for these definitions.  I think the style of writing is more of a passive personal informative.  There seems to be a lot of facts throughout the essay that are bias based and not necessarily "cold hard facts".
The author also cites other authors numerous times as well.  Bucholtz is named a handful of times throughout the essay.  I believe the writer had done the proper research and brainstorming while keeping their facts straight and personal ideas somewhat separate, therefor I give this essay a B plus for the great effort.
